BETHLEHEM — The Bethlehem boys basketball team lost its home opener to Troy on Tuesday, Nov. 3 by a score of 66-57.
Most basketball games are made up of runs by either side and this one was the extreme. Bethlehem had a solid first quarter, scoring 25 points to take a 12-poinmt lead into the break. And then the Eagles were outscored 17-5 in the second quarter and 17-10 in the third to find themselves down seven headed into the fourth.
In the end, though, too many turnovers cost Bethlehem in what was a fast-paced, physical game.
Will Davis scored 12 points to lead Bethlehem while Zach Zonca had 11, Dan Gilligan had 10 and Marko Gibbons had eight.
Marquis Hamby had 22 to lead the Flying Horses while Makai Cruel had 13.
Bethlehem will play at Burnt Hills on Friday, Dec. 6 and at Shaker on Friday Dec. 13.
