COLONIE — The Guilderland boys and the Shaker girls won the Albany County Cross Country Championships on Friday, Oct. 18 at The Crossings Park.
The Dutch edged out the Shaker boys with a combined time of 1:05:55 to 1:06:56. Bethlehem placed third with a combined time of 1:09:31 and host team Colonie came in fourth with a combined time of 1:12:29.
Guilderland Sean O’Brien placed first with a time of 12:50 followed by Shaker’s Francisco Mendonca with a time of 12:57 with Guilderland’s Micah Tindale placing third with a time of 13:02.
The Shaker girls placed first with a total time of 1:16:01. Bethlehem came in second at 1:17:02 and Guilderland placed third at 1:21:56.
Tori Mariano, of Shaker, set the pace with a time of 14:32 followed by her teammate Leonni Griffin at 14:36 and Rylee Davis, of Bethlehem, with a time of 14:48.
