BETHLEHEM – The Eagles field hockey squad rolled over Columbia on Saturday, Sept. 14 by a score of 7-1.
Bethlehem scored five goals in the first half with Mia McDonald getting two unassisted. Katie Bailey also scored on an assist by Kate Davenport and then Davenport scored on an assist by Avery Jones and Julia Harvey scored on an assist by Mia MacDonald.
Carolyn Fisk scored two unassisted goals to round out scoring for Bethlehem.
Liz Cohen scored Columbia’s lone goal, unassisted.
The Eagles (4-1) controlled most of the game as Columbia took just one shot on goal and keeper Alaina Meo was not forced to make a save.
The Eagles took 21 shots on goal, and Columbia keeper Sophia Venable had 14 saves.
Bethlehem will play at Burnt Hills and Columbia will host Guilderland on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
