SPOTTED: CBA gets by Colonie in Suburban Council soccer opener

COLONIE — Coming off a Section II Class AA title — the first ever in school history — CBA started off 2019 season strong with a 5-2 win over Colonie High in the Suburban Council opener for both teams on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Jack Mendrysa scored twice and had two assists for The Brothers while Alejandro Torres had a goal and an assist. Wyatt Leto and Paul Abatiello had a goal each to round out the scoring on CBA’s home field.

John Brunner had both goals for Colonie (0,1-1-1.)

Brady Hodson had six saves for Colonie while Dan Kelly had four for The Brothers (1-0, 2-0.)

CBA will host Burnt Hills and Colonie will host Ballston Spa. on Thursday, Sept. 5.
