BETHLEHEM — Despite the scorching heat, the Tomboys held a two-day softball tournament on Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21.
After round robin, pool play on Saturday, the seven teams squared off in bracket play on Sunday utilizing fields at Elm Avenue Park and Line Drive.
On Sunday, the Blue Angles of Latham beat the East Greenbush 4-0 and then got by the home team Bethlehem Boltz 10-8 before losing in the finals to Hockomox Rox, a team out of Massachusetts.
Guilderland, the other local team in the tournament, lost to the Rox in the opening round and Bethlehem won its first game over the Lady Mariners from the North Country 9-6.
