SPOTTED: Bethlehem girls beat Shaker 8-3

BETHLEHEM — The Eagles scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back as they beat Shaker 8-3 in a Suburban Council matchup on Thursday, April 25.

Clare Boegel went three for three and scored twice for Bethlehem while Abigayle Campbell went two for three with three RBIs and Anna Cleary went two for three with a home run and two RBIs.

For Shaker, Emmie Gilmore went three for four with two RBIs and Olivia Fazio went two for four with an RBI and she scored twice.

Anna Cleary went five and two thirds for the win giving up three runs on eight hits while walking two and striking out five. Aurora Legace came in in the fifth and gave up one hit and struck out one.

Sam Hardwick went all six innings for Shaker giving up eight runs on 10 hits while walking one.

Bethlehem will play at Colonie on Monday, April 29, and Shaker will play in Syracuse over the weekend and then host Columbia on Monday, April, 29.
