SPOTTED: The ‘Burgh gets a victory over Voorheesville

VOORHEESVILLE – Lansingburgh rolled into town to take on the Blackbirds and walked away with a 7-1 win in the Colonial Council matchup.

The Knights jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one, highlighted by a bases clearing, three-run triple by Camryn O’Hara.

The Blackbirds were led by Sydney Worthley, who went 2 for 3 on the day while Joelle Lisboa went 1 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Alyssa Chrysler, Olivia Richardson and Nicole Gifford each had a hit for Voorheesville.

Maddy Teta went 2 for 4 for Lansingburgh, Angelise Montanez went 2 for 4 with a run scored, Ohara went 2 for 4 with two runs scored and Patience Riley went 2 for 4 with a run scored.

On the mound for Lansingburgh, Angeline Montanez gave up one run on six hits while walking one and striking out seven. For the Blackbirds, Chrysler gave up seven runs on nine hits while walking two.
