The finishing touches are being put on Bob Ford Field — the new home for the University at Albany football team, as well as its men’s and women’s soccer teams. The 8.500-seat stadium is set to open Saturday, Sept. 14, when UAlbany hosts Colonial Athletic Association opponent Rhode Island.
The stadium is a vast improvement over University Field. It includes three sections of seat-back chairs for season ticket holders, a concourse including concession stands and bathrooms, a building containing TV and radio booths, a press box and corporate suites, and a large video scoreboard.
Our question is, are you more inclined to see a UAlbany football game now that they have a state-of-the-art stadium? Give us your answers in the box to the left side of the screen. The poll will be open until 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
