With Saratoga Race Course’s 150th season of thoroughbred racing beginning Friday, it’s only appropriate to ask what part of the track you like to watch the races from.
The backstretch isn’t normally the best location or the easiest to get to, but some folks still pull around to the stable side to see the horses as they fly by.
The clubhouse is where you’ll see all the important people, so it’s a good viewing spot for both the horses and the celebrities and politicians that come to the track.
The grandstand gives those looking for a place to sit out of the sun a shady place to watch the top thoroughbreds in America race each other, while the paddock and picnic areas gives people the option of seeing the horses up close and personal before they are led to the track.
