With the end of the high school sports season, it’s time to look ahead to the fun we can have as spectators at this region’s summer sports venues. So, where do you go to have a good time while watching the action? Here are some possibilities to ponder:
Bob Bellizzi Field — Home of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League’s Albany Dutchmen, a team made up of college ballplayers including several Section II alumni.
Joseph Bruno Stadium — The place where the New York-Penn League’s Tri-City ValleyCats call home from the middle of June through the end of August.
Saratoga Race Course — Celebrating its 150th year of operation, the venerable thoroughbred track is home to horse racing’s elite from July through Labor Day Weekend.
Any youth sports field — The place families go and (hopefully) remember what sports is about to begin with: having fun.
We’ll keep this poll question open until 11:59 p.m. Sunday, so get your votes in. Then, go out and have some fun this summer (weather permitting).
