The Northeastern Nitro will play its 2012 Independent Women’s Football League season at Schenectady High School following a season in Connecticut.
The Nitro is holding tryouts Saturday, Oct. 29, at Schenectady High School. No previous playing experience is necessary to try out. The season then begins next spring with games against IWFL teams from around the Northeast and Montreal. The IWFL season ends with the championship game next summer in Round Rock, Texas.
`We are eager to hit the ground running in the Capital District,` said Nitro Assistant General Manager Melissa Messemer. `We feel that this is a talent-rich area that can put a very strong product on the field.`
