Editor, The Spotlight,
I hope that the contract dispute between the Town of Bethlehem and the Bethlehem Police Officers Union will soon be resolved. In the meantime, we might all remember that the Town is governed by elected officials who are responsible for employing and managing its uniformed and non-uniformed employees. Calling those elected officials “misguided,” “bullies,” “cronies<” and “demonizers” cannot hide the fact that the Town is simply engaged in a basic contract negotiation, not some witch hunt against a few of its employees. Cool heads and responsible behavior should prevail.
