Editor, The Spotlight:
My New Year’s Resolution was to stop complaining about the haters and thank the good and helpful people I come across each day. It has had an interesting effect, as I find myself writing many more thank you notes! And the snotty service is quickly replaced in my brain by the smiling, friendly service.
I really want to thank Joseph at the Delmar Post Office. For years I have been going in there, and he is always friendly, upbeat and usually ready to joke around a bit. He never seems overwhelmed, no matter how long the line and unhappy the faces! Everyone in the Post Office is friendly and helpful, but Joseph remembers to bring his personality to work!
I also want to thank Mindy at the Hess Station. I have seen her go out of her way to help patrons in need. She is always smiling and friendly, even if it is snowing and miserable. She challenges you daily with her trivia.
She works hard but doesn’t make her work hard!
