Editor, The Spotlight:
Despite the confusion surrounding the choices for Town Supervisor, I suggest that there are three solid candidates we can count on in the coming election.
Two incumbents who have served our town well for many years are Greg Sagendorph for Highway Superintendent and Nancy Mendick for Receiver of Taxes. They have each proven worthy of re-election.
Also, for Town Board, Jeremy Near is a refreshingly bright new candidate who will offer much needed balance on the Board. An RPI graduate, Jeremy works as an engineer at the Sabic Innovative Plastics Plant in Selkirk.
In addition to his successful career he finds time to serve our country as a member of the Army National Guard. Jeremy Near is a knowledgeable and committed citizen who will work diligently on our behalf for open government and fiscal integrity.
Sagendorph, Mendick and Near are three excellent reasons for Town residents to get out and vote on November 8th.
