Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia

In the United States alone, more than five million individuals are living with Alzheimer’s and 16 million are serving as their unpaid caregivers. Alzheimer’s is a global crisis that impacts families in our community. The Alzheimer’s Association has created an education program covering the basics of Alzheimer’s and dementia and to provide a general overview for people who are facing a diagnosis as well as those who wish to be informed. Presenter Molly McCann is the associate director of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives for the Alzheimer’s Association of Northeastern New York. Debate, Better Angels Style
Tuesday, Dec. 17 6 p.m.
Better Angels is a bipartisan forum on American culture and politics that is empowering a new generation of thinkers to transcend the limits of left and right. Better Angels offers a whole series of workshops and forums to bring conservative and liberal Americans closer together. One of these forums is a debate, Better Angels style, using parliamentary methods to allow anyone to speak their mind about a “resolution.” Anyone interested in participating should email us at this address for addition information: [email protected] A Google poll link will be provided to find out what topic you’d like to discuss and if you’d like to speak during the debate.
