On May 21, voters approved the 2019-2020 library budget by 63.5 percent, and the capital construction bond by 58 percent. Catherine Barber, Barbara Fraterrigo and Barry Nelson all secured five-year terms on our Board of Trustees.
We appreciate the participation in this election. This library exists for the public, and everyone is welcome here. “Infant and Toddler Nutrition: Your Questions Answered!” may provide the guidance you seek. Patty Wukitsch, dietician at the Guilderland Hannaford, will be here Thursday, May 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. to answer your questions. Toys will be available for babies and toddlers during the program. Would you like to reach common ground with those who sit squarely on the other side of the political fence, without sacrificing your own stance?
The Better Angels Red/Blue Workshop on Saturday, June 1 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., invites equal numbers of people from both sides of the political spectrum to work on understanding other values, positions, and commonalities.
Participants will work toward debunking stereotypes, listening respectfully, and asking and answering clarifying questions, practicing the skills learned. Please register online, by phone, or in person.
