We’d like to express our deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support we received following Marcus’s untimely death. Thank you for all the food, beautiful flowers and plants, warm embraces, countless prayers, cards and generous donations, waiting in line at the wake, and all the expressions of sympathy we’ve received.
We are so grateful for everyone in the Bethlehem community, our neighborhood, our co-workers and Marcus’s co-workers, his teachers and coaches, our church families, the recovery community, Street Soldiers, and every person who shared their love of Marcus with us, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Marcus’s pain and struggles made him stronger, yet vulnerable. We are so grateful for the past wonderful, healthy four years he spent with us. Addiction is baffling and cunning, and is stealing the minds of many young people. Instead of being embarrassed and ashamed, together we can make a difference. Let’s end the silence.
Thank you for allowing us to share our grief and pain in such an honest way. That is truly how Marcus would have wanted it.
With Sincere Appreciation,
The Family of Marcus Kaplan
