Eat Healthier for the Holidays
This food demo and tasting by Nava Atlas will show you how to enjoy a healthier holiday season. Delicious food can be enjoyed guilt-free by using wholesome ingredients. On Sunday, November 18, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., we’ll talk about how to create holiday fare that’s not only tasty, but easy! The author of Vegan Holiday Kitchen will demonstrate a festive kale salad, a gorgeous dish of black rice, corn, and cranberries that’s perfect for potlucks, and dairy-free smoky cheddar “cheez,” an irresistible appetizer. Nava will also talk about stress-free planning for holiday gatherings, time-saving tips, dishes for sharing, and dealing with dietary restrictions (your own or your guests).

The Library will close at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21 and will remain closed on Thursday, November 22, in observance of Thanksgiving. Regular hours will resume at 9:30 a.m., on Friday, November 23.
