What are you listening to these days?
Probably … well, a lot of classic hard rock. My favorite band is UFO. I’ve been listening to the Blizzard of Oz and Rainbow.
What are you reading?
I’m reading, for second time, the Allan Eckert series. I’m on “The Wilderness of War” right now, regarding the revolution in New York state.
What are you watching on TV?
“Peaky Blinders.” It’s a BBC production. It’s excellent. It has Cillian Murphy. He plays a gangster in the 1920s.
What was the last movie you saw?
“The Age of Uprising: The Legend of Michael Kohlhaas.” It starred Mads Mikkelsen. He’s a Danish actor. This movie was made in France; it was set in France.
Who is one person living or dead you would like to meet, and why?
General Patton. He was one of the most interesting chapters in history.
What is your dream vacation?
Sitting on a beach having an entire island to myself. Extreme quiet with lots of books and tropical drinks.
What would your last meal would be?
It would definitely be barbeque. The best barbeque that could be had.
What is your favorite local memory?
Being in college, Union College and being with my friends and doing the stupid things that 19-, 20-year-olds do.
What three things would you bring with you to a desert island?
Books, my IPod, and plenty of cold beverages.
What is your favorite thing about owning Uncle Sam’s?
Interacting with great people — the customers, by far.
What are your favorite items?
Almond butter crunch, truffles, and my crazy selection of caramels.
