COXSACKIE – The National Bank of Coxsackie has taken pride in giving back as a community bank.
NBC continuously reviews donation requests throughout the year. There is no application period to send in a request. As long as the request has been sent in before the end of the year when reviews close, NBC will surely pass eyes over it.
“There are so many worthy causes locally,” Jennifer Vollor, Branch Manager AVP at NBC said. “We try to be able to give back as much as we can.”
At the end of last year, NBC received funding from the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York’s Small Business Recovery Grant Program. This funding has greatly helped NBC give back to the community that their employees live and play in. A lot of that giving back also considers how the donations will impact the community.
Some of the more recent donations given by NBC have focused on
employment help, mental health resources, or shelter care. The organizations that receive these monies and others offer some assistance to those around them. NBC prioritizes mental health with their own employees, for example, so it made sense for them to donate to Capital Counseling Albany to support their mission of helping others with mental health needs.
“Many of the recent organizations we were able to donate to have such inspiring stories, and knowing our monies are directly being put to work enhancing their already strong contribution is all we can ask for,” Vollor said.
As the year continues, NBC hopes that they can help support organizations in their missions to better help community members around them. National Bank of Coxsackie continues to understand its impact on the community and wants to simply spread its love for it by supporting others’ impact.
