State Police stopped a vehicle at Exit 25 on I-90 for multiple traffic infractions and found the driver to allegedly be in possession of approximately one pound of marijuana.
Police arrested Joseph D. Thorpe, 44 of Schenectady, around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, March 21, and charged him with criminal possession of marijuana in the third degree and possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, both felonies.
Further investigation revealed the inspection sticker on his vehicle had been forged, according to police.
Thorpe was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court and remanded to Albany County jail without bail.
