Joseph Cranker, 31, of Altamont, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief in the second degree, a felony, in Albany County Court Thursday, March 5, according to District Attorney David Soares.
Cranker reportedly cut out the catalytic converters on multiple vehicles parked on residential streets in the Town of Colonie, according to police. When Colonie police apprehended Cranker, he possessed tools and the stolen parts in the truck he was driving.
He faces two to four years in state prison when sentenced on April 28, along with being ordered to pay full restitution to the victims.
