Police stopped an Albany man for not wearing his seatbelt and found him in possession of heroin and crack cocaine.
Justin A. Bouldin, 38, was stopped for the alleged traffic infraction on Route 9W in Glenmont around 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31. Bethlehem police said an Albany County Sheriff’s Office K-9 conducted a “free air sniff” of Bouldin’s vehicle and detected drugs. Police discovered he allegedly possessed a baggy of crack cocaine and 10 bags of heroin, along with $412.
Police arrested Bouldin, of 14 Ten Broeck St. in Albany, and charged him with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, both felonies; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor; and not wearing a seatbelt.
He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and remanded to Albany County jail without bail due to having four prior felony convictions.
