Two men are facing felony drug charges after police allegedly found them to be in possession of heroin. Colonie police observed a black Nissan running in the parking lot at the Howard Johnson Inn at 1614 Central Ave. around 5 p.m., Monday, Jan. 5. Police said in the driver’s seat was Jeremy D. Thames, 28, and in the front passenger seat was Jeffrey Folkes Rosado, 25. Police observed an odor of “freshly burned” marijuana emanating from the car. On a rear seat in the car was a backpack that allegedly contained packaged heroin. Thames was allegedly found to have a quantity of cocaine on himself. Rosado, while being searched at the police station, was allegedly found to cocaine on the collar of his shirt. Police arrested Thames, of 1958 Cross Bronx Expressway in Bronx, and Rosado, of 353 Third St. in Albany, and charged each with criminal possession of narcotic drugs in the third degree with intent to sell and criminal possession of narcotic drugs in the fourth degree, both felonies. Thames was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
