The Coeymans Police Department has arrested a Selkirk man on charges he broke into a home and threatened a relative with a hammer.
Police arrested Scott Sadowski, 40, after receiving a complaint on Wednesday, Sept. 4, from a Selkirk residence. When police arrived on the scene Sadowski had allegedly fled, but after interviewing witnesses police contacted Sadowski, who turned himself in.
Sadowski was charged with burglary in the first degree, assault in the second degree, criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He was arraigned in Coeymans Town Court and remanded to Albany County jail without bail. He was scheduled to reappear in court on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
