An Albany man was arrested for allegedly leaving a 5-year-old child at a `bouncy bounce ride` at the African American Family Day festival while he attended a concert, according to police.
State Police arrested Kenneth Harris, 52, of Albany, and charged him with endangering the welfare of a child on Saturday, Aug. 3.
Harris allegedly left the child unattended during the festival at the ride while he `socialized and attended a concert` at another area of the Empire State Plaza in Albany, according to police. The child was brought to the State Police’s missing child pavilion, police said. The child was allegedly with police for approximately two hours before Harris was located.
Harris was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Albany City Court on Monday, Aug. 12.
