A Schenectady man has been arrested for one of the robberies at the Best Western Hotel on 200 Wolf Road, Colonie police said.
David D. Taylor, 37, a former maintenance employee of the hotel, was located in Schenectady with the assistance of the US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, police said. Taylor was arrested for robbing the hotel on Feb. 12. The hotel was robbed twice with two suspects each, one on Feb. 12, and the other on Jan. 31. The investigation into Taylor’s involvement in the Jan. 31 robbery is still ongoing.
Taylor was charged with robbery in the second degree. Further charges in both cases are possible for Taylor and his accomplices, police said. Taylor appeared in Colonie Justice Court on Wednesday, Jan. 20, and his case was referred to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office for further court proceedings. He was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility.
