A 31-year-old Albany woman was arrested Wednesday after police said they found 1.5 pounds of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana in her car following a traffic stop.
Dayaree D. Pettiway was stopped by State Police at 10:10 p.m. Jan. 9 when the 2012 Nissan Sentra she was driving was observed traveling north in the southbound lane of State Route 9W in the City of Albany. During a search of the vehicle, police said they found the cocaine and marijuana.
Pettiway was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, a felony. She was arraigned before City of Albany Court Judge Thomas Keefe and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility with no bail.
