The victim, who was not identified, was then transported to Ellis Hospital and was in stable condition after being treated for his wounds.
Police said he allegedly suffered three stab wounds, one to his shoulder and two to his torso, and received cuts on two fingers. None of the wounds were life threatening, according to police.
Police arrested Brian Norton, 33, of 60 Woodlawn St., Rotterdam, and charged him with assault in the second degree, a felony, and illegal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
