A Cohoes man was arrested on Monday, May 7, after he allegedly raped a woman at gunpoint in broad daylight in downtown Albany, according to Albany police.
Andre McClenos, 52, of 2111 Waterside Way, was charged with rape in the first degree and sodomy in the first degree, according to police. Police said officers responded to the McDonald’s at 106 South Pearl Street around 2 p.m. after the victim called and said a man placed a gun to her back, forced her into a yard on Clinton Street, shoved her to the ground and raped her.
Officers stopped McClenos on Morton Avenue shortly after the incident and arrested him, said police.
