State Police on the evening of Sunday, Jan. 29, arrested a truck driver who was allegedly driving with a BAC more than four times the legal limit.
Police said they received a report of a vehicle headed northbound on the New York State Thruway in the area of Exit 22 that was that was driving erratically. At 6 p.m., troopers located the vehicle at mile 134.
The truck was transporting food products to Massachusetts, according to State Police. Thomas Weigers, 46, of 2nd Street Woodbridge, New Jersey, was arrested for aggravated DWI, and police said his BAC was 0.35 percent.
He was issued several summons and arraigned before a Town of Bethlehem justice who remanded the Weigers to the Albany County jail in lieu of $25,000 cash/bond. He was set to appear in court at a later date.
