Two men allegedly robbed the Guilderland thruway service area McDonald’s at gunpoint and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
At approximately 2:45 a.m., on Friday, Jan. 27, two males entered the service area located on I-90 eastbound near exit 25 and allegedly displayed a handgun to two McDonald’s employees, according to police. There were no reported injuries in the robbery.
It is unknown if the suspects fled on foot or by vehicle and what direction they traveled with the undisclosed amount of cash.
The robbers were described as two black males of medium build, standing approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall, with one wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and the other a red hooded sweatshirt. Police said both men had bandannas covering their faces.
State Police are still investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 436-2825.
