Guilderland police have charged a man with assault following a domestic dispute.
Police said Joshua A. Mortimore, 20, of 2107 Brandywine Parkway in Guilderland was arrested Dec. 15.
Police said Mortimore attempted to assault a female inside their apartment while a child was present. The victim received medical treatment, but no word was given on her condition.
Mortimore was charged with Attempted Assault 1st Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree, both felonies, along with three misdemeanors.
Mortimore was arraigned in Guilderland Town Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility pending a psychiatric evaluation.
