A Ballston Lake man was arrested and charged with attempted dissemination of indecent material to minor after an investigation by State Police.
According to police, Eric Headwell, 47, was arrested after meeting at a predetermined location where he allegedly had plans to meet a 15-year-old female for the purpose of engaging in a sex act. He was charged with Attempted Dissemination of Indecent Material to a Minor in the First Degree, a Class E Felony, and for Attempted Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class B Misdemeanor.
Police said the arrest stemmed from an investigation conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force,the Attorney General’s office, and the State Police Computer Crimes Unit.
He was arraigned in at the Guilderland Town Court and was remanded to the Albany County Jail without bail. Headwell will appear in court at a later date.
