A traffic stop put on by the Albany County Sherriff’s office led to the arrest of two men who were allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana and powder cocaine. Neil T. Wallace, 20, of Freehold, the operator of the vehicle, and Andrew Tobin, 30, of Greenville, a passenger, were pulled over for vehicle and traffic violations in the Town of Westerlo, according to a press release. When the deputy sheriff approached the vehicle he saw a pipe used to smoke marijuana in plain sight. After further investigation, Wallace and Tobin were found to be in possession of 21 grams of powdered cocaine, a small quantity of marijuana, a weight scale and $1,100 in cash, according to the release, and were arrested. Both were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a class B felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana. Wallace and Tobin were arraigned in the Town of Westerlo Justice Court with bail set at $20,000. Wallace and Tobin both posted bail and are scheduled to re-appear in court at a later date.
