The Glenville Police Department was called to the scene of an alleged domestic incident at Wal-Mart on Friday, Sept. 2, around 9:30 p.m., which resulted in the felony arrest of a Schenectady man.
Charles L. Lebrecht III, 28, of Second Avenue, was arrested and charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a Class E felony. Police said through an investigation it was found that Lebrecht allegedly violated a court ordered stay away. According to police, Lebrecht knew the victim. The court order specified him to stay away from the victim’s place of employment, no contact with the victim which he disobeyed.
Lebrecht was arraigned by Judge Mercy who committed him to Schenectady County lock up in lieu of $500.00 bail. Lebrecht is due back to court on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 5:30 p.m.
