DELMAR — After an unprecedented turn-out to the Glenmont stop of the “purple tour” left cars oozing on to a major roadway, local group “Together, We Are One Bethlehem” will cancel its remaining stops.
“We apologize for these cancellations as we have thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many of you,” the group’s Facebook page announced late Tuesday. “Know that we really appreciate your kind words of support. Our social media platform will continue to support and encourage our community as, together, we work to ensure Bethlehem’s future. Like the message, we’re not going away.”
“Together, We Are One Bethlehem” was birthed in April, by local business owners, after COVID-19 pandemic restrictions choked businesses and residents. To read the origin story, check out Spotlight News’ feature here.
Although the drive-by stops will cancel, the group emphasized merchandise will still be available, adding materials are made by Bethlehem businesses. Updated information on purchasing goods can be found by visiting the group’s Facebook page.
