Community Resource Federal Credit Union: Simply, people helping people.
The credit union movement began 160 years ago with a simple but radical idea: With the help of your neighbors, you can improve your financial well-being.
Community Resource Federal Credit Union (CRFCU) is a democratic, member-owned financial cooperative. When you join CRFCU, you are more than a member; you’re an owner.
It offers the same products and services as other financial institutions but it is not-for-profit and exists to help people, not to make a profit.
All earnings are returned to members in the form of high-interest savings and low rate loans.
Credit unions live by the philosophy of “People Helping People.”
At CRFCU it is committed to the communities it serves, offering financial services to under-served populations, engaging youth in financial education and returning profits to members.
The local credit union markets itself as being there for you in bad times as well as good. The same “people first” philosophy causes our employees to get involved in community charitable activities and worthwhile causes. Through a number of initiatives, it continues to provide both financial and volunteer resources to those in need.
To join CRFCU, you must live, work, worship, attend school or have an association with an organization in Albany County. Immediate family members are also welcome to join. Call 783-2211 or visit them at 20 Wade Rd., in Latham.
