Field Realty is a locally owned real estate agency in Latham that has been in the Capital Region for decades.
For two-year owner Pete Tryon, the business is not new, as his father was longtime property investor. “My father was a longtime property investor. He owned property in Delmar and in Albany. I saw a niche for it,” said Tryon.
Before Tryon took over the business of Field Realty a little over two years ago, his father, Rick Field, owned the company in the Albany area for 40 years.
Field Realty tries to keep services local. Its services are provided for areas within the Capital Region. Tryon says “We’ve been in the community for a long time.”
Its main business philosophy is, “To keep very local home grown service and to give the best service possible,” said Tyron. The 10 employees at Field Realty are available weekends and weeknights as a way to provide the best possible service. With having more people on staff, it is easier to reach a wider audience of clients.
“It has a very large team of people, not just one person, working on everything from customer service to advertising the home to following up with contract needs”, said Tryon.
Field Realty offers many different services in real estate, ranging from single- to multi-family houses, warehouses and commercial spaces.
Recent developments within Field Realty is new construction multi-family homes. Field Realty sold property on Orchard Street in Delmar for a record setting price. Real estate with new construction homes is the new trend in Field Realty.
Field Realty is, however, no stranger to charitable efforts in the community, as the company sponsors golf tournaments at least once a year and runs an annual golf league with the Boys and Girls Club of Albany. Proceeds from that event are donated to veteran families.
The next upcoming event that will be sponsored by Field Realty is a golf tournament on Sept. 11 at Capital Hills at Albany golf course, in which the proceeds will go to a local family affected by 9/11.
“We’ve been in the community for a long time,” said Tryon. “We try our best to make everyone happy through the process.”
