A subsidiary of DHA Holdings is strengthening its local roots by tripling the size of its production facility in the Glenville Business and Technology Park.
Schenectady County officials on Thursday, May 10, announced that Integrated Fab Technologies, LLC, would expand its Glenville facility from 12,000 to 36,000 square feet. The county is providing a $100,000 loan to assist with the company’s expansion, which is slated to create between 30 to 40 new jobs over the next three years.
DHA President David Dussault thanked The Galesi Group for providing the additional leased space at Building 204. Also, DHA has the option to lease an additional 24,000 square feet of production space to accommodate future planned growth.
“We continue to serve the needs of our customers in the power generation sector,” Dussault said in a statement. “Our facility in Glenville gives us the space we need to continue to expand our production to handle new orders.”
DHA is a vertically integrated process engineering business providing high-speed Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining and large fabrication services to produce complex parts, fabricated systems and engineered assemblies for the power generation and oil and gas industries.
The company recently landed new orders to build gas turbine skid systems for General Electric. The skid systems will be shipped to GE’s aero derivative plant in Houston, Texas.
DHA was also awarded a contract with GE to provide c-coils, which are used to build turbine generators. A subcontractor in China previously performed the c-coil work.
DHA is using the $100,000 county loan combined with an additional $1.3 million in Small Business Administration-backed financing from Pioneer Bank to move the production of c-coils from China to Schenectady County, along with several other manufacturing projects.
County Legislator Martin Finn, chairman of the County Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee, applauded DHA for expanding locally.
“We are excited that DHA has committed to grow their company here in Schenectady County,” Finn said in a statement. “We thank them for investing in Schenectady County when they could be anywhere in the world.”
In the City of Schenectady, DHA operates a 17,000-square-foot machining operation on Front Street. Also, the company is rehabbing 414 Union Street to serve as its corporate headquarters.
