ALBANY — For the first time since June 23, there are not any new cases of COVID-19 in Albany County.
As of Tuesday, Aug. 25, there are 2,458 county resident who tested positive since mid-March, said County Executive Dan McCoy during a press briefing. There are 523 under mandatory quarantine with 2,436 who have tested positive and recovered. Eight people are hospitalized for a rate of .32 percent.
“It is great news, with all the testing going on and colleges coming back and things starting to open up, it shows by doing the right stuff we can keep the rate down,” McCoy said.
