COLONIE — Town buildings will re-open on Monday June, 15.
Town Hall, the Public Operations Center and the Senior Resources Center will gain be open to the public after being closed since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We have done a lot of work to get our town buildings ready to open to the public and hopefully feel some sense of normalcy,” said Supervisor Paula Mahan. “As a community, we have done a great job in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus but we need to remain vigilant.”
The library will also allow limited number of people in the building to check out materials on June 15. Computers can be used by appointment only and curbside services for book pickup and drop off will still be available. For more information call 518-458-9274.
The town parks remain open to the public to use the outdoor trails and facilities. There are no rentals being booked at this time. If there are any questions, contact The Crossings at (518) 438-5741 or the Mohawk River Park and Pool at (518) 783-2760.
The Pryun House will remained closed. The Public Safety Building never closed.
New protocols for visitors at any town facility or buildings include wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and practicing good hand hygiene. The town is recommending only members of the public who need to conduct essential business that cannot be done online to visit a facility.
