
COLONIE — Police arrested seven people and confiscated 8.1 ounces of cocaine, 13 ounces of marijuana and more than $6,000 from a motel on Loudon Road.
According to Colonie police Lt. Robert Winn, police received several calls about suspicious activity happening in room 18 of the Golden Circle Motel at 706 Loudon Road on Saturday, Feb. 9
Uniformed patrol officer and investigators with the Special Investigations Unit surveilled the motel and stopped several vehicles whose drivers and/or passengers were seen going in and out of room 18.

Information and evidence recovered from the stops indicated that cocaine was being sold out of the room.
Three occupants of the room were identified, by investigation and surveillance, were seen leaving the motel and followed to Philly Bar and Lounge at 622 Watervliet Shaker Road.
They were detained, a search warrant was executed at room 18 and the drugs and cash were found.
The three occupants of the room, all from Watervliet, face the most serious charges: the two felonies of criminal possession of a controlled substance and the felony of criminal possession of marijuana. They are: 28-year-old Jody Rogalo Jr.,

33-year-old Melissa Curran and 29-year-old Katelyn Somers.
They were taken to the Albany County jail pending arraignment in Colonie Town Court.
Those going in and out of room 18 were:
-Jody Rogalo Sr, 51, of Cohoes, the father of the Rogalo mentioned above. He is charged with the misdemeanor of criminal possession of a controlled substance and was found to be wanted by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. He was sent to the Albany County jail pending arraignment.
-Jacob Sovie, 27, of Cohoes. He was found to be wanted by the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department and was turned over to them on a warrant.
-Thomas Ekmalian, 31, of Watervliet. He is charged with the felony of criminal possession of a controlled substance and sent to the Albany County jail pending arraignment.
-Alyssa Schuyler, 20, of Cohoes. She is charged with the misdemeanor of criminal possession of a marijuana and released on an appearance ticket.
-Kevin Dahl, 23, of Clifton Park. He was charged with the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana and found to be wanted by the State Police. He was turned over to them on a warrant.
