The Sheriff’s Department identified the victim of the accident as 74-year-old William Kelsey, of Berne.
The cause of the accident is under investigation but speed and/or alcohol does not appear a factor.
NEW SCOTLAND – Investigators are piecing together a fatal accident on Route 443 near Golf Hill Road that happened on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at around 4:45 p.m.
According to people at the scene, a 74-year-old man had just hit a deer and got out of his vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle.
The Albany County Sheriff’s Department is investigating.
