Night: Sinatra under the Stars
TROY — The 13th season of the Collar City’s Powers Park Concert Series continues this Saturday night with local throwback singer Nick Coluccio taking to the Neil Kelleher Stage to perform Frank Sinatra’s timeless hits during “Sinatra under the Stars.”
Coluccio, who graduated from the New School of Contemporary Radio, Inc. in Albany in the spring of 1994, is known throughout the Capital District as a local disc-jockey and the host of the “Italian Hour” broadcast on WVCR 88.3 The Saint.
Coluccio is also an accomplished singer, who has been
performing Ol’ Blue Eyes’ classics to critical acclaim for a number of years. Coluccio also performs covers by Tony Bennett, Elvis, Englebert Humperdinck and Michael Bublé, among others.
Powers Park Concert Series performances are free to the public and run from 6 to 8:30 p.m.. Alcoholic beverages and pets are not allowed in the park during performances. Non-alcoholic drinks and food will be available for purchase.
Powers Park is located at 110th Street and Second Avenue in Lansingburgh.

Day: Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’
ALBANY — The Park Playhouse presents its musical adaptation of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” featuring participants from its arts in education program for teenagers and young adults, in Washington Park’s Lakehouse Amphitheater through Saturday, Aug. 27. Performances of the family-friendly show take place Tuesday through Saturday evenings beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for adult reserved seats range from $16 to $24, and, thanks to GE’s Kids in Free program, for each adult ticket purchased by phone, patrons will receive a free ticket for a child age 12 or younger. Free lawn seating is also available for each performance on a first-come, first-serve basis.
