The candidates in the upcoming Democratic primary for the office of Bethlehem town supervisor will meet to debate Thursday, Sept. 1.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. at Bethlehem Town Hall, 445 Delaware Avenue. The debate is a joint initiative between Spotlight Newspapers and the Albany County League of Women Voters. Spotlight Managing Editor William R. DeVoe will moderate.
John Clarkson and Kyle Kotary will be granted equal time to give speak. Answering questions presented by the audience on note cards will constitute the majority of the debate.
There will be no politicking of any kind in the meeting hall before or during the debate. Afterward, candidates and supporters are welcome to campaign. Only authorized media will be allowed to use recording devices. Video of the debate and in-depth coverage will be made available on spotlightnews.com.
