To commemorate the reopening of its Voorheesville store, Hannaford Supermarkets on Thursday, June 16, donated $2,000 to the New Scotland Community Food Pantry.
The donation was made in the form of Hannaford gift cards. The Voorheesville store, located at 5 Maple Avenue, has remained open during seven months of renovations. Shoppers can now enjoy a butcher and a deli bar with chicken wings, salad and soup.
Also, the store has greatly expanded its selection on natural and organic items, with over 1,600 additional items now available.
It’s huge variety increases throughout the store, said store manager Samara Ringer.
The store will also have expanded hours, staying open until 11 p.m.
A grand reopening celebration is planned for Saturday, June 18, with the first 300 customers through the door receiving a Hannaford gift card valued between $5 and $250. There will also be the chance to win a Father’s Day BBQ package valued at $200.
On Sunday, June 19, the first 200 customers through the door will receive a Hannaford Supermarkets cheeseboard.
