A domestic incident in the Town of Wilton on Tuesday, June 7, sent two people to the hospital and one person to jail, according to police reports.
On June 7 at approximately 10 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a domestic incident on Nicklaus Drive in the Town of Wilton. The trooper was met outside and down the street by the suspect’s live in girlfriend, age 42, and his teenaged son due to the incident becoming physical and the need to get away, according to police reports. Both had been struck by the intoxicated suspect, James J. Pigliavento Jr., 37, also of Nicklaus Drive.
Additionally, the teenaged boy had been choked and there was bruising around his neck, which was caused when he tried to intervene, said police. Both injured parties transported themselves to Saratoga Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The teen had broken ribs, broken nose and numerous bruises and the woman had a broken nose, bruises and 10 stitches to her forehead, said police.
Pigliavento was arrested for assault in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, strangulation in the second degree and criminally obstructing the breathing of another, according to police reports.
An order of protection was issued for both victims and Pigliavento was incarcerated in Saratoga County Jail. `
