State Police today arrested a New York City man on felony drug charges following a Thruway traffic stop in the Town of Bethlehem.
Police said Edgar Roa, 32, was pulled over for driving with his headlights off. The stop led to the discovery of 28 ounces of marijuana (nearly two pounds) and a small quantity of hashish, according to police.
Roa was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the second degree, a felony, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor. He was arraigned in Bethlehem Town Court and remanded to Albany County jail on $20,000 bail. He was scheduled to reappear in court on May 13.`
