Clifton Park residents can get rid of their leaves and brush starting in May.
The town of Clifton Park Transfer Station at 217 Vischer Ferry Road will be open on two Sundays this spring to allow town residents to drop off their leaves and brush.
The transfer station will be open for spring clean-up on Sundays May 1 and May 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., barring severe weather on those days.
All Clifton Park town residents are eligible to drop off their leaves and brush. A permit is not required to dispose of the leaves and brush and admission to the transfer station for spring clean-up is free.
Residents that bring their leaves and brush in biodegradable paper lawn bags may leave the full bags at the transfer station. The leaves and brush left in bags must be less than 8 inches in diameter and no longer than 5 feet in length.
Residents bringing leaves and brush in any other container will be asked to dump the leaves and brush out and then take the empty container with them when leaving the transfer station.
Only leaves and brush will be accepted on the Sunday dates. Transfer station permit holders wishing to dispose of trash are asked to come during normal operating hours. Permit holders can also bring their leaves and brush at any time during normal operating hours.
